Trust in God, Not What You See

John 14:1-“Do no let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me.”

With these words, Jesus points the way to eternal life. Even though we live in a see and then believe world, the way of the Lord is secure. We only need to trust in him. A lot has occurred recently that makes us want to take matters into our own hands. But, a way has been promised and prepared for us where there is no more of the things we continue to see all day every day; all we have to do is trust and believe.

The Word of God says, “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all of your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6. There are so many calls to trust in God in the Bible, and so many reasons in life to not do so. Now, more than ever before, we need to put our trust in something secure. Trust in the Word of God. Men will go back on their promises, and disappoint us over and over, but God never fails.

God is your health and healing, let him examine your heart and perfect your life. God  he is your strong tower, lean on him when you feel tired and weak. God is your peace and comfort, rest in him when you are hurting and unsure.

I know how scary it is to trust in only a promise, but God is waiting to grab hold of you and set you on solid ground in a place where you will be truly blessed, and never without his unconditional care, just and loving direction, and solid protection.
